Information Sharing Meeting on Climate Change Projects in Turkey

On the 4th of April, 2012 Senem Bayar (GIT) held in Ankara, Turkey a presentation on the topic “Information Sharing Meeting on Climate Change Projects”. Experts from the relevant sectors participated in this meeting. The objective of the meeting was to inform the invitees on the projects which are undertaken within the context of Activities Concerning Climate Change under the European Union 7th Framework Programme with the participation of researchers from Turkey.

The meeting was held under the Enabling Activities Project for Turkey’s Second National Communication with the presentations of 11 researchers. The participants were provided with presentations on the objectives and principles of the projects, project stakeholders and implementation, with special focus on important aspects of the ongoing and upcoming climate change projects in Turkey. A total of 35 representatives from the public sector and related agencies participated in the meeting.
The meeting was hosted by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry and the United Nations Development Programme.
